I wonder if the lack of wheels in your dyno runs can account for the superior numbers?

Wheels or no wheels, 40%+ is just flat out wrong.

Default What's so wrong? You have the chart available, with

what's considered the most advanced dyno there is. So, you saying it's wrong, because it just doesn't seem right to you? I'll admit it does seem a little low for WHP, but who am I to question. Wait to see the next dyno with the intercooler to see if it gives similar numbers.

Default Re: I understand the MAHA is good but I still don't get then 44% loss in the...

It is not a 44% loss that is where everyone gets confused powertrain loss on a quattro is not linear and can't be measured by one value alone. The way that maha calcultes it's numbers is what it reads at the wheels. It could read higher wheel numbers and give les correction but that just the way the MAHA works the numbers that is why you take your eyes off the wheel HP and look at what the MAHA does best and thats crack HP thats what it was manufactured and desined for to take the guess work out like everone is doing here.

That's the beauty of the MAHA even if you have 19 inch wheels it will calculate its powertrain loss.

Thats why it's A dyno so highly regarded that it is the only dyno used by major manufacturers such as Audi ,Volkswagen, Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, ..etc. In fact Audi/VW consider the MAHA such an integral part of working with their vehicles, that they have listed it with a factory tool number and you can purchase it directly from them if you so wish.
