So I went to a local GM dealer (which was recommended to me by another person in Toronto on the forums) and they quoted me a price of $1,500 to get the lower black trim on my silver A4 painted. I'm told that they do quality work but is this what I should expect to pay for a good job? The dealership tells me it's because they will have to remove the door panels and the rear molding. I don't want to go somewhere else and spend say $400-$500 and find that they didn't protect the paint properly and it starts to chip away because of that. So again, does this sound about right? Thanks.

Try Cosmo auto body in Etobicoke 416 232 1313 ask for Laki and tell him Thane recommended you.
They quoted my $400 (if i remember correctly) and that was to paint my lower sides and rear/front bumper
