rock hit my windshield today and a nice crack is starting, what does an OEM windshield install run ?

Windshield Replacement
I had the same thing happen to me. Called safelite and they were going to put in a new windshield but it isnt audi glass. So it doesnt have that black stuff around the sides, so i thought that it would look funny. So called dealership and they installed one for about $400. they did a great job. no complaints. its twice as much , but i wanted it to be perfect.

dont think so, i could be wrong though. but when i called safelite they wouldnt get oem glass for me. They have "quality" glass. the dealership doesnt accually put in the glass, they have another company do it on site at the dealer. but the dealer would provide the oem glass for the company.

doesnt Insurance cover windshields...more
my dad needed a new windshield and so did my sis. both windshields got replaced free by insurance. and that doesnt raise insurance either....i have 2 chips in my windshield. i gonna wait till winter is over to replace it though.
