I was shopping for my beautiful new dolphin grey 2005 3.0 Avant when I spotted it in the parking lot. Saw the 3.2 badge on the back and went into high alert. No, I couldn't buy it they told me! It was being driven by one of the reps from Germany who was inspecting their new showroom. Looked sweet - same grill as the new A6, everthing else on the exterior was pretty similar to the '05. The console had a built in screen about where the radio is now, so I am assuming that was for the nav and mmi features. Wish I had had my camera - my recall isn't so great now after a few weeks.
