Default selling car.. need advice...

how do this work. should I get the money in full and then ship the car out. or should I settle for half and get the other half once the car is delivered?

Default Personally I would never let my car out of my possession without full payment....

I don't know what standard operating procedure is on an online sale, but that's just me. People aren't to be trusted for the most part.

Maybe some people who have gone through the process can shed some light on it though

Default Think about what a online dealer would do.

They would not let it ship before full payment was received. There is no reason to ship the car not fully funded. I bought my Audi on ebay, and had to have it shipped from Penn to Houston.

If you are shipping it via carrier, make sure it is insured for the amount it is worth.

Default Furthermore, an upfront sincere buyer would not ask you to do that.

It's just not reasonable.

Use an escrow service (www.escrow.com)! This would protect both buyer and seller.
