Default Selling my 2004 audi a4 1.8T for a new B7 A4 2.0T and have a few questions

For starters what of my mods will be transferable to the new car? I have revo, boosted cold air intake, test pipe, thermal exhaust, 19" Moven rims, Neuspeed Short Shifter, Neuspeed sport springs, Bosch injectors 380cc.

Also does anyone think its a good choice to go from the b6 to the b7? The main reason i want to sell my car and go up is because I am getting close to the end of my warranty and want to have a car with coverage.

And whatever that isn't transferable to the new car will be for sale so send emails to pcubbison@gmail.com if you are interested.

Thank you.

Your exhaust system won't work. I'm interested to buy! YGM.

Default IMHO ...

I don't think it is a good trade. Do you drive a lot of miles? By year you should have your warranty for 1-2 more years.

Anyway here is my take. IMHO I like the design of the B6 more than the B7. That is subjective and not to say the B7 hasn't grown on me though. Here is where I have a problem. The B7 A4 is pretty pricey now and when you get in the car it's 99% identical to the B6. Note differences: Steering wheel, cup holders, nav+ from factory. My 2002 has gone out of warranty and I sat down and really gave it some serious thought it ended up that I would be spending a lot of money on a car I didn't like as much as my current one (again subjective).

The B8 A4 is not far off and I figure spending a few bucks here and there is better than spending a ton on a new car.

If I didn't have a B6. Say I had an E46 3 Series, I would probably give the B7 some more serious thought, but it's hard to want to go from a B6 to a B7 especially knowing the B8 is coming.

I don't know your situation though. Are you bored of your car? If it is simple a warranty concern... there are always aftermarket warranty's available for purchase.

Me personaly I plan on keeping my car until the A5/S5 come out and then I'll probably have a good idea for what I will do next.

BTW your B6 is gorgeous !

Default I hear what your saying but...

I have 42000 Miles on my car and the extended warranty isn't something I would want to spend my money on. Also before I go to a dealer what is the website that people go to and find out what the cost of the car should actually sell for? Not Kelly Blue Book Value but the site where you can bring in the print out and they are suppose to match it.

Default I'm not sure I've heard of that site....

yeah I know what you meana bout not wanting to spend money on an extended warranty. I decided I didn't want to pay/bet on my car to fail. Right now I'm just running with no warranty though.

Default the dealer will give you 2-3k under what you think you'll get from any website.>

they want to turn around and make profit on it.
so if you need to sell it for what it's worth, you'll have to sell it yourself.
trade-ins = raping by the dealer.

There's KBB, NADA and Edmunds- those are the 3 major consumer pricing books

Default Trade-ins only work if....

you can get close enough to private party value to beat the tax difference. Not to mention if you want the convenience of doing everything in one day.

Default ^^^^Listen to your friend Billy Zane...

He's a cool dude. He's trying to help you out. I would just hate to see you buy a B7 (which I personally think looks slightly cooler from the front, CRAP from the back, and identical in between) only to have the B8 come out with much more notable changes and regret it. I'd rather see you be the first guy with the new than the last guy with the old, you know. I have front trash. it makes you wish you had quattro. i don't think i've EVER heard anyone say the other way around. Best of luck on your decision. Personal satisfaction is your priority number one with the car you get.

Default I agree with MB you should wait for the B8. The B6 and B7 are very similar and I would rather wait

for a totally new model. Even though the B7 is growing on me I still like the B6 style better.
