Default Service!

Why would my car still say, "Service!" when i press the wrench button next to the check button?

Will it say service for trivial things like 3 alarm trouble codes and the fact that my rear fog light is out (doesn't even exist but i have a trouble code for it). I also have a headlight/taillight warning light on but the lights are all on and fine.

There are no important trouble codes.

Default No, it means the light wasn't reset the last time your car was serviced.

It's a simple procedure to reset the light. Something about holding two buttons down with the key in the "on" position.

It's in the manual. It's simple to reset the light.

That light does nothing more than count down every 10K miles. When you reset it, you have 10K miles before it'll bug you again.

Default My service reminder doesn't work. It has dashes, even after being reset. Can I fix that?>

Or is that a malfunction that will require the dealer to check out?
I'm guessing it's not normal and something is wrong with it.

For the first 500 miles or so, it will be all dashes. Check after 500 miles, it will be normal.
