Default service intervals

got about 1025 miles on the clock, 9 weeks old.
it says the next service should be in 7900 miles or 290 days.
I know it recalculates it, but I was wondering how long it took on yours before it came up with an accurate figure, its mostly city driving, and not very hard uptill now... so it seems a little too short after all the boasting about variable servicing and upto 2 years gaps.

Default It recalculates every 310 (?) miles...

The 290 days doesn't mean that the car is calculating you'll reach your next service in 290 days. Rather, it's telling you that if you don't reach the necessary service mileage within 290 days, take it in for service.

indeed, well, I hope it starts recalculating the distance variable soon, lol, at this rate, it would have to go in at 8000 miles, I shall wait see what happens.

Default service intervals are 1 year or 10,000 miles.

if you are at 7900 miles (means you've driven 2100 since the original service) and 290 days (means that you've had the car for 75 days).

The day interval is not calculated versus your mileage. Its whatever comes first.

yeah, just the dealer going on about the variable service intervals, and saying it could be anywhere between 10 to 20 thousand miles and upto two years, and its only been driven just over 1000, well, like ive said, gonna wait and see if it changes anytime soon.
