Shame Audi! The air conditioning system is pathetic! Can VAG help?

The more I use my Audi the more I like it, especially as it brakes in.
BUT, one thing I can't stand is air conditioning system. That thing is almost useless and a step down from the previous 01 model.
It start from Low, but the next setting us is 67 F (!!!). 67 F is HOT, I feel like I seat next to the cooking oven. What is up with that? On 01 model there was a range of temperatures in between, what happened Audi?
Anyway, the question is if there's any way to program a different range of temperatures using the VAG software? Does anybody know if Audi plans to recall and fix this issue?
Thanks,
-Eugene

... and I have my a/c set to 64, it blows VERY hot air for about 20 minutes. At that time, the cabin temp feels about 100 degrees.
My only solution is to keep it on the Lo setting, and pop the "econ" buttom every few minutes as the Lo setting is rude cold!
Hopefully, there is a fix someday.

That's quite cool. Remember, that temperature isn't that of the air coming out but rather the thermostat set point. How cold do you keep your house?
I realize there is a tremondous heat load from the glass and dash, most of it radiant. This could be the reason for your discomfort as there is no accurate method to measure radiant heat load in a car. The dash sensor does part of that but its a relative measure, not direct.
Are you uncomfortable driving at night too? Heat load at night is mostly sensible and latent from the increased humidity levels, especially if you have the recirc off.

Mass flow multiplied by temperature drop. Sure it will feel cold but the air from the registers is MUCH colder than the setpoint when the car is hot.
I think the problem with the Audi design is based on radiant heat load, something all cars with extensive glass areas and dark dashes have.
FYI, one is most comfortable when the skin is dry and at 91 degrees Farenheit. The body core at 98.6 dictates a heat flux of 100-400 Watts. To keep skin temps at 91, the ambient still air should be 72-80 F with 45-65% relative humidity. The Audi system was probably modeled using this dataset so if you come in to a hot car with your skin at 93 F and a flux of 500 Watts, you will feel hot for a while. I can bet hard numbers on the car cooling before you do.
