Sheesh...got a flat this morning...a few observations about it
Came out to my car this morning and found the passenger rear tire flat. Fortunately I didn't have anywhere especially pressing to be, so I thought I'd give it a try changing it. I've never gotten a flat tire on any car before this one.
The jack worked fine, although I agree with everyone's complaints about the design...it really sucks. If I had been just about anywhere else but my garage I wouldn't have had much confidence in that thing holding my car in one place. The little clip thing that is for pulling the dust covers off of the lugs is not included in my little tool kit...once again, good thing I was at home and had access to a small pair of needlenose pliars. I was most nervous about the wheel being bound to the hub like I have heard people talking about (and like I experienced with my Passat before this), but it came right off, fortunately. All in all, I think it went just about as well as I could ask.
I'm going to give the dealership a call today and make an appointment for my 10K mile checkup and have them patch the flat when I bring it in.
Not a good way to start off my day, but it could have been much worse.

Don't take it to the dealer to do the flat.
My Audi dealer used a plug only - not the best fix. You need to go to a good tire shop that will use a patch/plug. The tires needs to be pulled off the rim, patched, and remounted. That way it will hold up better.

Yeah, I know patches work better...
but (and I think I'm in the minority here), I actually have a great deal of faith in my dealership...The service manager is fantastic, and they have always done really good work.
