Sheetmetal grade

Has any1 else noticed a difference between the B6 and B5? I was polishing my car yesterday, and was worried if I put to much pressure I might cause a dent. Has Audi switched to recycled sheetmetal or decreased the thickness?

They use variable gauge sheet metal to save weight, but I thought they did on the B5 as well?

Yes they do. Flatter surfaces on the B6 can deform a little more.
