Shift ****
Hey guys....did anyone here replace their OEM shiftknob with an aftermarket such as Momo, etc..? My buddy was replacing a torn boot and I noticed the OEM **** and boot are stuck together and some sort of clamp holding it. I dont know if its supposed to break off or something. He said its one piece..thanks

it is all one piece... (m)
i replaced mine with a euro shift **** from www.vagparts.com the clamp you can get off with out breaking. use a pair of pliers and pull from the end of the clamp. i was able to get it off in one piece just in case i need to reuse however new shift **** came with one.
