j/k... Of course they should, it is a def. problrm, just wonder if Audi will get bad publicity if word gets out about the recall tho

should they have a definite fix before doing it, yes... should they have that fix ASAP considering this is a problem thats now gone on for 2 years across several engines, brands and model lineups across the world? HELL YES!

For the 1.8Ts, the rev 'J' coil is proving to be a viable fix. Once AoA gets it's inventory of these coils built up, it would be foolish of Audi to not do a recall.

Have you noticed the reliability ratings the A4 has been getting lately? Bad! Audi must improve that rating. Replacing the old rev coils will go a long way toward doing just that.

Default YES. car manufacturers recall things all the time....

...and I don't hear too much bad press about any of those other recalls (Firestone excluded). I'm not sure what Audi is worried about other than possible not having enough replacement stock on hand.

If anything, consumers might appreciate the gesture.
