3rd, turn off your HVAC before you turn off the car and see if you hear the noise as a test

I hear when AC completely off, even econ. So, AC compressor is not running at all. That's what made me doubt the AC as source of noise.

Hopefully we're all decribing the same noise here.

my 3.0 does it as well, my former 1.8T did it at times.
