Slight rattle noise around 4000 rpm

A few days ago, I heard a slight rattling noise coming from the transmission (or in that general area). It happens when I rev the engine up to around 4000 rpm and let off the gas and you can hear the rattle before you shift into another gear.
My clutch doesn't feel like it's slipping, but the noise worries me.
The rattle sounds like something is loose. I have a few mods done to the car, but nothing to extreme (chip, exhaust, the basics). I have about 36k miles on the vehicle (6 sp manual).
Any ideas?

Im not sure what it is, but mine sounds like a whirring sound. I've asked about it before but im not 100% what it may be. Good luck
