Small white spots on the steering wheel and shift ****!

I have an '04 ultra sport and over the last month the leather steering wheel and shift **** have started to show small white spots. It almost looks like white paint, but it does not come off. I had a '01 A4 and after two years I had the same thing happen. Has anybody else had this problem? I could see one bad batch of leather, but two!

happened in my dad's 928s4, but it wiped off.

I have the same, one on shift **** and the other on steering wheel

I am just assuming some thin spots in the manufacute or something
