So anyone advise against installing exhaust using jack stands and ramps?

i didn't really take it as a jab. honestly, people willing to crawl under a car with just jackstands

are much more brave than i am.

Oh I agree on that point. I don't trust a natural product like

wood to support a car. Hell, even on steel jacks, I have an amount of respect/fear when getting under the car. I go under knowing what needs to happen next, then get out. I don't want to spend any more time than required underneath a ton and a half of steel.
