Default I know what they are replacing, the service manager doesnt seem to grasp it.

I saw the part in my trunk and realized that it is the part of the axle that come out of the diff. SM called it a driveshaft, which is the piece of the driveline that runs from the transmission to the rear differential.

Default Good news, I guess. I feel for you, the money I was saving for my suspension...

went to fixing the body of my car by a stupid hit and run. Having said that 500 aint too bad considering the original estimate.

Default Do you have the repair order? They should write it down using proper terms...

Sounds like the service manager is just saying part names and not being precise thinking you wont ask more questions. Definitely get a written conversation going whether it be via email or postal mail even if it establishes a history of them not responding to your written inquirey which is evidence in itself.

Default I hate to hear cases like this where people have to jump hoops to get anything acoomplished...

Deductible. It cost 3000 to fix 500 for me.
