Default So I contacted AweTuning regarding my chip install and I had a few questions regarding....
my concern of added heat in the engine because of more power. Their response was: "the injector programming was designed with the stock intercooler in mind and that the added fuel will cool down the engine better" ??? what??, no, is this something for mythbusters or is someone trying to take me for a ride. I'm no expert, but I say that any added power is directly related to an increase in heat.
now I don't know, I was expecting a different answer I guess.

Accurate. Manufacturers tune cars to run rich to save cats all the time.

Running rich will help reduce heat a little, but will shorten the life of the cat converter.
