Default So I finally got my first speeding ticket in 10 years....

I was late for work today cause I got caught by a train. I got caught by a train because I was stopped by a cop. I was stopped by a cop cause I was speeding. I was speeding cause I didn't want to be late for work. Oh well I was due for a ticket anyways. I can't believe I made it through one year of Audi ownership before getting one.

Default Sorry about that man

I got my first speeding ticket too last March. I went to NCTI class and I don't have any points now. Since you have a good record, I'd say go to one of these classes ($50).

I was doing 48 in 35 zone 4 points, all gone.

You still thinking of a chipping your car

Yeah man. Maybe we could mess around with the VAG-COM and then go down to Zev's and Revo it.

Default Good news I found out today about violations...

I called my DMV, Pennsylvania, and found out that violations that occur out of state do not get recorded on your Pennsylvania driving record. So if you got a 4 point ticket in NJ, then no points are recorded on your PA license. I'm not sure how insurance would get notified since they don't record that on the ticket and they use my PA driver record for rates, but regardless Progressive forgives the first ticket.

Well, I learned a lesson, will slow down and all I'm out is the violation fee. phew!

Check out if this is the case in your state if these were the circumstances.

The link below verifies this to be true for speeding tickets. DUI and other serious violations do get reported and your PA license will be suspended.

Driver License Compact Sheet for PA (Requires Acrobat Reader)
