Default +5hp & to prevent damage. but i always chuckle since most tracks are cleaner and have less

debris than any public road.

as Steve said, people go off and pull dirt on, but i've never seen the point. i view chips, etc. as badges of honor heck half the time, i'm still finding little rubber marks on my car a month after an event.

Default It really does not make sense...

Some clubs require taping headlights so if they to shatter, most of the glass is contained.

I stopped doing it, and I do think it is pointles.

Default That's exactly why I'm considering taping my new mirrors on the long drive to college...

We'll see though, I've already done a lot of highway driving with them. Anyway if I was on a racetrack and I wasn't sure how well maintained it was, or my ability to ride the "clean" line I would probably want to help keep my front end protected.

Default The track in Hawaii is so crappy..... even with tape my bumper had so many little rock dings.

I didn't say chip, because the paint was still intact, just pushed into the bumper. So I believe the tape saved my paint from chipping off.
