They have always been avants, now you can't get one - just sedan? Or are they going to come out in Avant as well?
I kinda like the idea of the wagon that stealthily blows doors of most sedans and coupes out there.
What do you guys think? I'm kinda disappointed.

kinda like tradition with the RS models. I was dissapointed the RS6 Avant never made it accross the pond.

I think it's the same old scheme. First Audi introduces the model that wets the "basic" appetite. One or two years later they come out with the Avant, then the convertible, etc.
This way, by introducing progressively juicier models, the line takes longer to get stale (if an RS4 can in fact get stale...).

As a business model, you make what will get more sales, and judging by the sales numbers of the S4 vs. the S4 Avant, I'd say it was a no-brainer as to why they are making the sedan first. If they see a large market, I'd suspect they'd make the Avant later, but for now, they're going with what will make them more money.
