So I have 2 choices for software and interfaces.
I have Offboard Diagnostic Information System and I have the Ross-tech vcsd software. I still need to buy the interface cable for either one but I don't know what one to go with. PLEASE HELP!

I use the Ross-tech. There are regular updates sent so it appears to be supported. I have updated my laptop from Win7, 8.1 & 10 with no software compatibility issues. I have 5 VAG cars and it connects to all with no issues. Its not cheap, but its a 1 off purchase. I think the Offboard is a pay as you go licence, but I haven't used it to compare functionality.

I have Ross Tech also. Have 3 Audis and it works great with all three. Not familiar with the other product.
