Default SOLUTION: for squeak sound from rear seats

that squeak sound gave me hard time driving...
I know that everyone need to fix this thingy

I know that some of peps went to dealer to fix it
but soon, it came back! right?

First, I tried to put some oil into the joint (where it closes the rear seats after folding it for extended cargo space)

BUT it came back soon!! (had to oil again!)

finally!! my final solution is to put paper tape
on it!!!!!

when you fold the rear seats! you will see the part where it locks onto!! (metal thingy about 4 cm long??)

noise is coming when this metal and locking-part (on the seats) are rubbing

if you roll your tape around the metal part (not on the seats but on trunk side), you will not hear any sound!! not even little!!
use paper tape~ so it has more volume on it!

ps: dang is my english bad? how can I explain/call that little metal thingy.. god!!

I've done this in the past, but repeated closing will wear through the tape; keep an eye on it

How about duct tape? If it can protect you from bio and chem warfare, it should stop squeaks.
