As some of you laready know, Audi has introduced in europe a "sport" version of Audi A4 B6 1.8T with reworked turbo and dual IC setup (like the one in 225TT) good for 190hp.
Today, I had the chance to take a look at ETKA at this new setup to check if it is possible to install this additional IC to "our" B6s.
What I found out is that:
It looks that the new IC is not a mere add-on. In addition to putting a second IC, Audi reworked the left IC, which looks to be a little bit larger, or at least has a different part #. Also the IC mounting bracket and the plastic molding which directs the air onto the IC, all have a different part #, and at first sight look much different (the molding). It is something weird, since the front bumper seems to be the same (I have still to confirm their part# in ETKA).
The right IC is all new and mirrors the left IC. To connect it to our existing setup we will have to buy following parts (that is IF the lower IC pipe has same diameter):
1. IC pipe # 8E0 145 832P (the one that connects directly to turbo outlet)
2. IC elbow # 8E0 145 686B (the one that connects the first pipe and IC)
3. IC pipe # 8E0 145 845D (the one that conects IC with lower IC pipe running between the two ICs)
4. IC core # 8E0 145 866J
5. IC mounting bracket # 8E0 145 814B
6. right plastic moulding # 8E0 117 336C
All the parts cost aprox. 220USD.
I think, that IF the lower conecting pipe is the same, and the turbo outlet has same outer diameter, we shouldn't have any problems with putting the second IC into our cars.
Either way, I'm gonna try it when spring comes.
And BTW: the new engine (190HP) has a letter designation BEX (the standard 150hp spec is AVJ).

I believe Canada is on Europe's part system also as they get cars we don't. I should find out soon.
