Some pics from the Boston Autoshow (minor BWW), Audis and others.
First off, I have to apologize for the slight (and sometimes not so slight) grainyness of the pics, there really wasn't much light to work with. Even so, I fall further in love with my Rebel SLR every time I use it.
Audis first, of course...
The $38,000 A3 3.2 S-line, which looks quite sharp, IMHO.
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/a3s.jpg">
The 25th Anniversary S4, which looks better in person than in pics, but definitely isn't worth the huge premium.
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/s425.jpg">
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/s425side.jpg">
The new M5, which looks great.
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/m5angle.jpg">
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/m5rear.jpg">
The new GLI, which I really liked. The seats and steering wheel are fantastic.
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/gli.jpg">
The Mazdaspeed 6, which looks great in person (minus the blah wheels), and has a very aggressive through-the-body exhaust that looks great (sadly my picture of that was too dark).
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/mazdaspeed.jpg">
The new Viper coupe, which is much sharper than the convertible, but still lacks the style and swagger of the old GTS, I think largely because the hood is so flat and the "waist" of the car doesn't taper very much.
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/vipersidelight.jpg">
This doesn't need too much explanation...
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/v12.jpg">
Jeep has this little indoor track setup where you rode in a Jeep to see firsthand their off-road prowess.
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/jeep.jpg">
The inside of the Range Rover Sport, which doesn't interest me at all, but I liked the light in this picture...
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/range.jpg">
I think the new Civic, especially the Si, looks great.
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/civic.jpg">
The same Ford GT that's been at the show for the past 2 years was back, but it still looks amazing.
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/gtnose.jpg">
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/gtwheel.jpg">
This is the fender of the new, wider 997 C4S.
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/c4sfender.jpg">
For comparison, this is the fender of a C2S.
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/997cab.jpg">
The flares still aren't as aggressive as on the 993s, but they do look very good.
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/c4sbadge.jpg">
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/997cablight.jpg">
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/987light.jpg">
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/pccb.jpg">
And, just because I could:
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/pccbclose.jpg">
I was very happy to see the new Z06, which has a definite swagger than the base C6 lacks.
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/z06badge.jpg">
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/z06side.jpg">
The seats sadly still suck, though.
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/ls7.jpg">
The Saturn Sky was there, and looks even more gorgeous in person than it does in the pictures. People seemed to think it cost well over double what it does. It really makes the Solstice look sloppy by comparison.
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/sky.jpg">
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/solstice.jpg">
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/skynose.jpg">
<img src="http://people.brandeis.edu/~tsle/bostonautoshow/skyside.jpg">
Anyway, that's it. Sorry there aren't more wide shots, but at car shows, they always end up looking pretty lame, and detail is more fun to shoot anyway. I hope you enjoyed them.

A3 looks hawt...Question though 'bout the A3;
Does that Open Sky Roof have an entire roof in black?
It's understood that the Sky & Sun Roof Glass itself appear black but is the surrounding metal roof also black?
If it is, that also teh hotness
BTW, Thank for the great pics!

Awesome pics! The Solstice and Sky are priced very competitively but....
they do share A LOT of components from other platforms and this is how they kept the costs down. The Sky is planned to be a luxury version of the Solstice and will be priced about $3-$5k more than the Solstice.
