I drove my gf's 3.0 often..
More I drove it I'm amazed by 3.0's low-end and it's torque.
I have drove 2.8 30v & 12v...also 02 stage 2 1.8T and tons of other A4..
3.0 was BEST engine I ever drove on A4 chassis.(B5 and 8E)
Low end is very excellent!..
I have drove G35..260hp right? BUT G35 actually feels slower than A4 when I drive around town.
3.0 gives very good low and mid range power..
while G35 actually doesnt feel like it has 260hp..
These days..I rather go with 3.0 than ANY stage 2 1.8T(chip+exhast).

we dont have that here with euro spec, but with soft touch boot release, why does one even need it?
Infact, I always worry with boot release buttons designed into the dash that some person will go and push it whilst in the car and pop the boot by accident.

It p*sses me off to see someone trash talk my ride. However, this guy has simply listed all of the things that he has read about that might go wrong - not the issue or issues that he is experiencing -if any.
In fact, I don't get the sense that he actually owns the car. He says, "...giving me quite a few problems..." and when someone asked, "Can you share with us what kind of problem you are having with your A4?", his responds with a list of, "...these are the most common..." gripes.
I think he's shopping.

The guy who started the thread (rteng) only has a couple problems. Somebody asked him to detail his problems, then a *third* person (A4sucks) wrote in with a list of "common" problems (and complaints) on the A4.
Nobody is claiming that a single A4 has all those problems.
Just my read of the thread.

...and god is the auto locking on my Jetta loaner a pain in the ***.
Have to click the damned remore button twice every time I want to open a door on the car...so many times a day if running errands or with children in back.
