No, only the oem rear amp and one aftermarket amp driving the sub.

It sounds good until you hear an RNS-E unit. I compare it to wearing ear plugs.

Default *.....breakin' the law, breakin' the law.....*

I've personally been jamming to some old school Def Leppard lately (in between death metal sessions at least).

Default I like it so long as it is somewhat melodic

The roar, roar, roar, roar vocals get old pretty darn quick. Gotta mix it up a little.

Default Very interesting...

I had a feeling from listening to the systems that the RNS-E had enough quality wattage to actually power good **aftermarket** speakers appropriately. It sounds like your experience confirms it!

Default Re: interesting info... RNSE Bose here... how hard/smart would it be to put an aftermarket amp in...

That's a good question. The thing with Bose speakers are they are usually weird configurations, like 1 ohm resistance versus the standard 4. I am not sure what is used in the Audi.

Default Very much so. I also have audiobahns installed on the rear doors. Btw..

front and rear door speakers are mids with separate tweeters like the oem setup but I opted to get kits that did not come with crossovers just because I didn't want to deal with the placement of them. The sound quality is awesome though.
