speeds at 2000, 2500 and 3000 rpms for each gear
I was thinking about this for a little while, and I finally got around to it. Below is a "map" of the speeds my car goes at 2000, 2500 and 3000 rpms in each gear. I also checked 3500 rpms later, but only did it for 1st and 5th. I expect to do it for the other gears, but I include it here for 1st and 5th. I drive a 2002 A4 Avant 1.8t with quattro and a stickshift. The speeds are estimates.
2000 2500 3000 3500
1st 11 14 17 19
2nd 18 ~22.5 27
3rd 27 34 40
4th 35 45 52
5th 42 53 64 75
Does this look accurate to those with the same car? As I look at it, and to some extent as I drive the car, I think that 1st, 2nd, and 3rd aren't close enough together, while 3rd, 4th and 5th are maybe a little too close together, especially 4th and 5th.
