Sport Tires in Snow
#31
It's always good to get inputs from the new folks who weren't here during past discussions.

On the subject at hand, my former A4QMS had the sport tires. I went through one winter here with them and only had one minor slipping experience in snow. That was enough though to make me go with all season tires for this car. Unless folks live where there is no snow at all, I think at least installing all season tires for the winter is essential.
In my experience, driving on a light dusting of new snow on a cold day can often be more treacherous than driving in deeper snow. Also, if you live where it just doesn't snow that much, you really want the best possible ability to avoid those less experienced drivers who drive with summer tires and really have no idea how to drive with that white stuff on the ground.
