Default Staggered Offset help please, 19x8 wheels, looking for 1"front lip 2.5" rear lip thanks in advance!

I know its possible, as i've read about people doing it.

What offsets would 19x8 wheels require for 1" lip in front and 2.5" lip in rear?

OR

1.5" in front and 3" in rear

I'm not planning on a BBK, only 3.0 brakes in the near future, so clearance i dont think is much of an issue.

If spacers are involved in the rear, than so be it. I'm lower than stock sport, and would like to not rub as well tires=235.35.19 ps2

Thanks guys,

Default I found some on eBay...

Also Treadepot.com has a BBS RGR pkg w/ tires for $3599, shipped. Hopefully, they have our bolt pattern in stock. I actually ordered my CH's from there and got an awesome deal!

19" BBS RGR

Default amir, sorry to thread jack, but speaking of 3.0 brakes, are you aware if the 3.0 rears are any diff.

in size/caliper than on the 1.8t's? if so then i'd assume interchangeable

Default Found this in the B6 FAQ <edit>

1.8 T
Front: 11.3" (288 x 25mm) vented
Rear: 9.6" (245 x 10mm) solid

3.0
Front: 12.3" (312 x 25mm) vented
Rear: 10.0" (255 x 12mm) solid

Front and rear calipers are the same for both models.

Default spacers would be involved in the front if you were only looking for a staggered look...

for example (theoretical(sp?))

say a 30mm offset gets you a 3" lip in the rear
say a 40mm offset gets you a 1.5" lip in front
then- you'll need a 10mm spacer upfront to the offset the car "sees" is 30 all around...
that being said, i cant imaging a 19" wheel with a 30mm offset not rubbing, regardless this is the concept and to me it's the only acceptable way of "staggering" your setup on an awd car or fwd

Default I need some clarification...

I recall you telling me that a staggered offset would result in negative results with respect to handling....

now, i'm just curiuos, why.., if i keep the same overall diameter, what would be causing the handling to suffer?

heres the post where you told me that staggered offsets are not a good idea, https://forums.audiworld.com/a4gen2/msgs/793998.phtml

in that post, you told me that it would not be a good idea, however, because i was talking about spacers, i was under the impression that you were reffering to putting mixed spacers on the car...now, you have to excuse me, i have a real bad sleeping disorder, that makes me stupid sometimes, lol, thats my theory atleast....so what has now happaned is i forgot that spacers and staggered offsets are the same thing...sorry, my mind is somewhere else..

now, exactly how bad do you think it would affect my handling?

thanks Mike, as always, you are tons of help and you put up with my nonesense pretty well.
