STaSIS/Alcon "Motor Sport" Big Brake Kit....

STaSIS/Alcon "Motor Sport" Big Brake Kit....
Here's another incredible BBK. It's a 6 piston caliper with 13" or 14" rotor. They have it ready for front application, but no matching rotor for the rear yet (ETA Spring). Pricing wasn't bad at first, but it just went up;

Motor Sport Front 13" = $3195
Motor Sport Front 14" = $3595
And their Track Sport 4 piston for comparison;
Track Sport Front 13" = $2695
Track Sport Front 14" = $2995
[That ECS Stage 4 Porsche Cayenne BBK is looking sweeter and sweeter....]
There would be an increase with pedal travel using the STaSIS Motor Sport kit, but they think it should not be anymore then what the S4 B5 brake conversion would make. Here was their comment on that; Now, given that Audi changed the master cylinder in your car to use the same one as a B5 S4, but chose to keep the same 57mm front caliper, they (Audi) decreased pedal travel in the B6 A4 cars (vs. B5 A4 cars). It's difficult to say how much more pedal travel you will have in the 6 piston caliper, but it will be slightly more.
There could also be some more front brake bias, but this is easy to counteract, as you can run a more aggressive rear brake pad (only thing is that this pad will eat up the OEM rotor faster).

I just saw this the other day too... very nice setup it seems.
But like all Stasis products, expensive as hell. I'm waiting to see what they end up producign for suspension upgrades.

Pricing still close to Brembo GT kit though at $3295....
But yes, they are expensive. Went up about $500. And you used to be able to get either 13" or 14" rotor w/o any extra. Too bad.
Suspension kit should be interesting.

lol. ok, so maybe not the right comment. But we are just talking about a
6 cylinder caliper working with the master cylinder. Pedal travel would be similar to the S4 B5 conversion, as mentioned. I could have included all the technical numbers on brake biases, but that would just bore you to tears. I have confidence in STaSIS to know what they are doing. You should at least be glad that they do not just say; "it'll work". And that's it - like most will say.
