The dealership said there was a problem with the steering rack, causing my year + long mysterious power steering fluid leak problem. They are going to replace it next week. Also they said the brake pads had about 7mm left and they dont replace until there is 2mm left.
They said it will take a whole day to fix plus I get an alignment out of the deal as well.

at first, they replaced the power steering pump, then the whining reoccured. they replaced the rack and aligned it.

they had to order the rack. it took a full day to do the work. they screwed up my speaker for my hands free that I had mounted beneath the column, but I fixed that.

the problem. did they replace your PS pump? they should if its leaking. and for the pads, that sucks. its more work for them to keep pulling the wheels to check for 3-5 mm of wear. Id take my own PBR's ( or whatever) in there anyway, soon, and tell them to slap them on. Way less dust. if you lose track, and they cut the rotors, your cheap dealer will learn his 5mm lesson when he also has to replace the rotor(s).
daddy. but that's just me.
