Default Stock 1.8T Performance

Has anybody dynoed their 170hp 1.8T just to see what the actual horsepower figure is before adding mods. I'm just curious because I read in European Car that an unmodded 1.8T was dynoed and had 171 hp. So Audi must be underrating their engines. Also what is the drivetrain loss for the 1.8T with Quattro? I already posted this question once, but I wanted to try to get more response this time.

Default It was dynoed at 171Hp at the crank not at the wheels.

I think drive train loss is around 20-25%

It's been somewhat agreed that drivetrain loss for quattro's is ~20-22%,iirc

Default what 1.8T was in the mag? The VW (transverse) 1.8T's

are making a decent amount more than claimed from the factory. I would like to think the longitudinal 1.8Ts are doing the same but I'm not so sure about that. 170hp in a 3400+ lb car powering 4 wheels just isn't a lot--

I have yet to see a stock A4 1.8T dyno, what month of european car was it?

Tell do you know what kind on dyno, Dynojet is because that was what it was tested on and the way it was written makes me think that it was at the wheels. VW and Audi have been known to underrate their engines. For example I have a 150 hp 1.8T and it was dynoed and I got 140 hp at the wheels, obviously 7% drivetrain loss isn't hard to accomplish so the actual horsepower at the crank is closer to 165 than 150.

150 is at the fly NO WAY IN HELL you made 140 at the wheels stock, with 150 flywheel.

Try to understand what I'm saying. Volkswagen underrates their engines meaning the number they give is lower than what it actually is. So in actuality the 150 hp engine makes around 165 at the flywheel instead of 150.
