Default Could be the fuel pump. Is it like a humming noise?

When was the fuel filter replaced last (if at all)? If it is a humming noise you hear from that area, I'd spend the $40 on replacing the filter asap first as that may take care of the noise, probably getting clogged.

When do you hear noise, during driving or during startup, etc.

Default Have you replaced your fuel filter?

The noise in my car went away after I replaced the fuel filter. The fuel pump had already been replaced under the recall.

Default Update: it was my fuel filter. cost installed $119.75 indy shop. my thoughts...

Obviously noise went away and they said the filter weighed 4 times more than the new one. Idles really smooth now, car is faster/quicker. What a difference a new fuel filter makes!!!

1. I think anyone getting a stage 1+ should get a new fuel filter as a default. I would have if it were suggested by the shop doing my stage 1+.
2. I think a upgraded DV should also be a default when getting a reflash. Again would have in a heart beat if even remotely suggested.

Any thoughts???

Default Wow...$120?! There's a pretty good write up on here on how to replace it, takes 20 minutes

and save yourself $80. But I'm glad to hear the noise is gone now...figured it was the filter.

The fuel filter should be replaced every 60k IMO. I know some do less like 30-40k but I feel 60k is a good interval. Mine started to make noises around 64k IIRC.

The DV can be upgraded. That said, I'm still running on my factory DV...I hear that the '05s already came with the 710N DV.
