Default uhh... a BPV is not meant to increase performance...

This particular one is meant to handle more boost. B5 guys use it with the X-chip which pushes some 20-21 PSI of boost (peak) out of the stock turbo.

uhh... if it's designed to reduce turbo lag then that improves the car's performance.

Default No BPV will reduce turbo lag.

BPV were created so that you do not have air being forced back into the turbo thus spinning the impeller wheel backwards. Also they sustain pressure when needed and keep vacuum when not in boost.

Default You probably are not going to notice a difference unless your current valves are bad.

If anything you will notice the power come on slightly sooner or later depending on the spring rate in the valve.

Default No problem. Honestly if you have decided to get an aftermarket metal valve,

I would look at the new Forge with the diaphram design. Comes with a bunch of springs and a replacement diaphram for each I believe.
