Default Stratmosphere vs Neuspeed Short Shifter -- Which is easier to install yourself???

Can anyone who actually installed one of these short shifters comment on the degree of difficulty for installation? I read reviews on here for both and they both seem to work well. Any comments on how well they work is welcome also. I don't want something thats too much shorter than stock.

thank you

Default Degree of Difficulty is subjective...However, if yer good mechanically and have ...

experience working w/tools & such...
IMO, (1-10), 10 being very difficult, I'd give it a 4...Right tools are a must.

As for which is more difficult, can only speak for Neu & AMS...They are about the same.

As for quality of materials & design of kit, AMS gets my vote over Neu. (eventhough, I have Neu).

Shorter than Stock ??? I believe your referring to **** height. Neu is about 1" shorter than stock, which I kinda like. I believe AMS (6spd) retains the original stock height. As for Strat, Idunno.

Hope this helps

Default Throw Reduction: AMS=25 or 40%, Neu=35% & Strat=20 or 40% (m)

Forgot to ask what motor & trans you have?
The above reductions are based on 6spd.
And Your Welcome
