Default Summer Summer Tire Time....

I have some summer tires from the previous owner (~4k miles) that I want to mount on my b6 a4q.

They are Continental Sport Contact 2's and are 235/40ZR18.

Question is: Previous owner did not mark which tires go where, is this a problem?

The tire wall says whether it is the inside or outside edge, but still.... the outside on the left side of the vehicle could be turned 180 degrees to be the outside of the right side of the vehicle. The tread pattern doesn't give much indication as to which direction the tires are supposed to go.

Anyone have these tires or could offer up any advice here?

Also - whats the going rate to remove/dispose 4 old tires, mount/balance 4 new tires?

Thanks all

Default It cost me about $130 last time I had tires mounted and balanced

If there is no directional arrow on the tires then it doesn't matter what direction they go in

Not necessarily. If you have 3 tire stores on the same corner, they tend to deal.

Default I live in "po-dunk" USA, and M&B averages $25 a pop, unless you buy'm there...

stick-on weights $5 extra.... :O(

Probably why I buy wheels & tires from Discount Tire/Tire Rack, already mounted and balanced. ;o)

What type of places are you guys getting this Mounting/Balancing done?

Is it your run of the mill Belle/Discount tire?

Or are you taking them to your local tuner shop?

Default I bought them from Tire Rack

I think it was like $25 or $30 each plus this fee and that fee and the other fee. I would have bought them from the tire place but they couldn't get them within a reasonable amount of time
