is the rod too short or to wide to fit?

Default did you attempt to adjust the rear koni shock?

there should be plenty of piston extended out of the shock body to allow for the collar to be installed.... only the bumpstop (along with the collar should on the piston rod). Got a side shot pic?

Default whoa - too short.

can you extend the piston rod?

If not - push it all the way down then turn it and it should extend - to match your OE shock rod.

perhaps use an alan wrench to turn the piston rod.

when I adjust my konis to either 0% or 100%, they tend to lock in place.

If you can't get it to extend, I guess a call to KW is in order.

but I will still take it to a shop. I can't get the rear springs out, and I am too tired of trying it again. Thx though.
