This comes from the CDROM Manual. I suggest getting your own if you really need to work on something. Rawfonics had asked to post more, so I figure I'd share with you all.

The front speakers are powered by the stereo and the rear speakers are powered by the amp.

This is the diagram of the speaker layout throughout the car.

4. "Amplifier for rear loudspeakers or BOSE power amplifier (only with "BOSE sound system")"

7. Rear treble loudspeaker
8. Rear bass/mid-range loudspeaker
9. Front treble loudspeaker
10. Front bass/mid-range loudspeaker

The avant layout is a just a little different because they mount the amp and sub in different places.
