Default Symphony Radio

Alright... in my infinite boredom I figured out a couple of niffty features of our radios.

1) SVC- speed sensitive volume control- (or something like that).
You can see the radios current correction value by
a) turn radio off
b) hold on preset 2 and turn radio on
You will see something that says : "SVC XDB" where X represents the correction value.
You can change this value and change max-turn-on volume and a bunch of other stuff by:
a) turn off radio
b) hold down the menu button and turn the radio on
You will have a list of things to change. Use the volume button to change values. press the menu button to iterate through the list of features you can adjust.

The one thing I really wanted to find that I know existed on the previous version was the "hidden" equalizer.

Hope this is helpful.

Ok, first off, you can also get to the menu just by holding down the menu button while the radio is on.

Now, the thing that I don't get is the "SVC XDB" mine says SVC 0DB and there is nothing to change it. what is that for? and I thought the equalizer was for bose?

That's it! thanks!

Yeah the EQ is for BOSE
The reason it says 0DB is because at the time you were at that screen it wasn't correcting anything. Turn it on and drive around- get up to 60 and you'll see it change values.

Default how..

If you have the B5 with Symphony, ie - the older symphony software, all you have to do is:
turn the radio off. hold down preset 5 and turn the radio on. Then you have a string of fives: 5555. Each 5 corresponds to a eq band. you can use the volume and frequency control ***** to change it.
My question to the forum was if anyone knows how to access this feature (assuming it still exists and it probably does) on our versions of the symphony.
