Tell me 'bout chips for 3.0 V6. There is UpSolute. Anybody else? Info? Compare? Which is the "one"?

...Did you install the Upsolute switch between sock and tuned modes? The shop here says it's really unnecessary. Extra $150 for no point really. (Excuse my spelling if anywhere)

They have been in the tuning business for a long time and are well regarded in Europe. They don't have much of a presence in the US, but their products seem like good stuff...

I got them through a local race shop as they had helped me out on another item. You can go direct to the Supersprint USA website and check dealers or buy direct. The mufflers are 100% Stainless steel, and about $450.00 each. Factory hangers for your car, straight bolt on. Mine had to be modified as I have a Kerscher kit.
The switch was not available a year ago, but I would not bother with it personally. Revo have a nice feature for Turbo cars where you can switch to 'Valet' mode. Won't go over 20mph. LOL. Revo is not yet available for the 3.0 yet or I would suggest going the Serial Port route.

The chip raises the horsepower by 15 and the torque by 20 to give final numbers of 235 HP and 241 ft. lb. torque.
Yes, their website isn't the best to navigate, but give them a call and talk to Kelly Kay. She'll be able to answer any question you have on it.
Good price and good performance. They're even TUV approved! =)

Wetterauer AG

TUV is a manufacturing certification program in Germany that in many ways is similar to the ISO 9000 system we use. TUV has stricter guidelines in testing products before granting certification. If a product has been TUV certified, then it's a product of high quality.
As for miles on my car, I've just rolled over 59,000 miles and should be hitting 60,000 in a few weeks. I had the chip installed when I had 42,000 miles. I had waited a year before doing any performance mods.
As for direct port programming, I think that should be a requirement for all companies in order to handle the 2004+ A4s. From my understanding, they did a big change inside the ECU and replaced the single chip with a 4 chip cluster. Who knows how the software coding was broken up among the 4 chips, but it would definately be cheaper to directly reprogram the software than it would be to replace all 4 chips.
