Default Temperature gauge problem.

I gave my A4's temperature gauge a look the other day and noticed it didn't move a bit. I was driving for almost 100 miles and not a move. So it's definitely broke.
Anybody has any experience diagnosing and reparing this?
2003 A4 1.8 Quatro
Thanks!

Common problem. Most likely the coolant temp sensor needs replacement.

Default Has to be done at the dealer or DIY-er can do it?

Any instructions on how to replace the sensor (where it is, etc.)?

Should be DIY, but there are two sensors. Make sure you replace the right one.

I can use some diagrams to locate the sensors, if anyone has them.

No, did not notice that. When coming to a stop the fan wasn't running.
