I was test driving a car for JacobinOrlando that was down here (won't say which one/where in case he decides he wants it), but anyway wow I'm missing out. Audi's manual tranny is so damn nice! Was it odd for the place to let me test drive it alone without even asking. The salesman actually said would you like me to go with you... I was like that's okay ![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I could've beaten on the car if I wasn't testing it for someone else / had morals![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Anyway back on point the 1.8T + 5 speed manual was more fun then my 3.0 + tiptronic by far![Frown](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Oh and 2 interesting things on the way back once I was in my car. One I was driving down a busy/small road and I picked up LASER on my Passport 8500 X50 (actually while I was on the phone with Jacob) and I dismissed it as a false until I went a few hundred feet down the road to find 2 motorcycle cops hiding behind a tree with a laser gun in hand. That was cool, granted I was lucky I wasn't speeding as I would've been pulled over anyway.
2) This one is more disturbing then anything. I'm on Federal Highway/US1 which is obviously a very busy road all of the time and there was a drunk bum on the side of the road. As I was pulling up I was like what the hell is this guy doing... and sure enough he pulls his pants down waves "something" around and then puts his hands in the air like he's talking to god or something.
Pretty disturbing

the 1.8T is lighter, especially with the manual so it will handle better than the 3.0, and of course rowing gears is always fun

oh, wait. I do! Bwahahahaha. I'd venture to guess that my car was one of the fastest stock B6 1.8T's made, only because of the combo of 5sp, FWD, and cloth interior w/o power options. Plus there's other intangibles like my lack of friends, which equates to fewer passengers and less sprung weight.
I drove an E30 325i convertible last night, and now my cars feels so much faster. It's nice to drive slower cars sometimes to make you (me) feel better about what you drive. I'm the say way about the laser. there's so few places that use them I just blow it off when I'm driving with radar, but you can never be too careful. Bum flashings are nevAr good. Sorry about that.
