is there anyway i can get Winter Tires on our sport 17inch rims?

Just buy 17 inch snows. I have 235/45/17 Blizzak LM-22s on my stock sport rims. Keep in mind though that, as many have pointed out, a narrower tire will "bite" better in deep snow. I seem to deal more with icy roads than deep snow, so the 235's seem to do just fine.

They plow the roads and highways around here very well, so in a day or two the roads are completely dry ... that's why I stayed with the sport tire size. But even in snow and ice the wide M2s have plenty of traction.
