There seems to be a lot of fuse talk, especially over whether a fuse exists for the washer pumps

One person said they didn't have a separate fuse for the pumps, others have said they have. I definitely do.
For the record, this is my fuse box. 2003, A4, 3.0. Fuse #37 is specifically for the washer pumps.

I also read the related post below which prompted yours here;
Driving on a particularly cold night (lights were on) a year or so ago, I used the washer and got one shot - and it quit.
I replaced fuse #37 (indeed blown) as I had read here, and it was fine.
I later mentioned it to an Audi tech during a local ACNA event, and he stated that there was a TSB for my 2003 (not sure what years / VIN's it covers) that involved replacing the washer pump with an updated design.
I can't recall the exact details, but it sounded like water/moisture was getting into the pump, freezing, and causing the pump to fail. His point was that it would eventually fail again, and replacing the fuse only would prove to be a temporary fix to an underlying problem. The newer unit is supposed to be better sealed, or something to that affect.
I still have the service order, and can pass on the Audi-ese text later tonight if you would like.
Food for thought!
