Thermal Street FINALLY installed!
first, thanks to Eli at Ecode for being the go-between with thermal and hounding them to get the system out to me. now on to the impressions:
its loud! The noise has tapered off somewhat as i've put a few miles on it, but its not annoying in the least. Nice and throaty, and sounds great with the test pipe.
performance wise, at first i felt like i had actually lost power, but after taking a look at the boost gauge, i came to realize that the turbo spool seems to be much smoother and linear than before, thus that feeling. the top end has really opened up. build quality is perfect, fittment is nearly perfect (ill let it settle a bit before the final adjustments to center the tips, but it looks great), and sound is great. overall, i can only say that i am impressed and that i wish i had done this upgrade earlier. The only little complaint, and i cant stress little enough, is that when hot the tips protrude quite a bit further than when cold. not a biggie, the exhaust is just getting a little hard-on for my car!

Love to hear it sometime...
The Thermal has always been my choice for looks I just don't know if it is too loud for the family truckster. Is it time to Dyno again? I will be going again after I get GIAC'D.

finnally.
It seems like all the exhaust extend out when hot. My Milltek does the same. As for the power, i felt the same as you. It didn't seem like i gained much, but the overall powerband felt alot smoother. I still need a boost gauge so i might need to swing by sometime and see your boost gauge. I think i want the AWE but until i see it in person i don;t want to spend the money.

AWE is the way to go as far as integration although....
MCHAMMERED is working on a column mount that shows some promise. Let me know if you want to see one installed. I wouldn't mind hearing a Milltek as it is one that I am considering.
