Default They are trying to RAPE me!!

Progresive wants 339 a month to cover my a4 with full coverage, rental, towing, and 500 deductable!! Any suggestions? I just turned 25 in March, so they won't give me my discount in the middle of the policy....might have to bite the bullet for a few months!

Default Tickets? Accidents? Claims? They don't jack it up that high unless..

...your record establishes you are a risk they don't want to take responsibility for.

Default where do you live? progressive was more expensive than state farm for me

I'm with State Farm and for my 2001 1.8TQ I pay just under $1500/yr. I have a multi-policy discount since they also have my renters but thats only good for another $10-15/mo max.

Aside from that, I have $250 deductables, my car is leased so my coverages are required to be higher as well.

I'm 22, perfect driving record.

Default I'm 23 and was quoted $875 for six months (more)

It really depends where you're located too. I moved from one Chicago suburb to another and my premium went up over $200 per year!

Default Re: Tickets? Accidents? Claims? They don't jack it up that high unless..

I live in Houston. I have not had an accident or a ticket in the past 3 years.....I have been with progressive for 6 or seven years (since I was 18). I guess I am going to have to shop! This quote is for me alone! My wife picked up her 1.8T Passat GLS last saturday...and I picked up my 1.8T A4 yesterday...so we both need to get on a policy together. Geeez.....their went the MODS!!!

Default If you're clean, then...

...they're totally trying to kill you! However, what type of accident or ticket did you get? Did it result in a criminal conviction (no, don't actually answer, just think about it). If no, then maybe you need to sit down with an agent and make sure they're using your record and not someone else's. Don't discount identity theft if you had nothing but a minor traffic ticket and nothing else.

Good luck.
