Default Think my clutch is slipping!

Driving yesterday to work and at @ 3k rpms I up-shifted while accelerating and the rpms climbed a couple hundred rpms before I felt any power being applied. Sound like clutch slipping? If so how long under normal driving will the clutch last before I will have to replace it? Also how much are parts and labor for a new clutch? Sorry for all the questions, I've just never had to deal with any clutch issues before so I'm kinda a noob. Thanks everyone!

Default I've had that happen a couple times...

But all still seems well, and I'm running a BT now and it hasn't happened with that, so dunno

Default I'm installing a 240mm clutch....

with a lighter, single mass, steel flywheel.

My OEM 228mm clutch began slipping a couple weeks ago. I'm at 31,000 miles....

Default Hmm, that's weird.

Hope it was just a fluke with me too.

Default worn organic plate get glazed easily and lose clamping force, when cooled down it's back to normal

but it still means its worn and should be replaced

240mm is OEM on the V6, as well as the B5 S4 & RS4.

Default Ooh that would be awesome!

I wonder what being able to launch that hard would do for 0-60 and 1/4 mile times.
