Default Thinking about leaving the Audi family

I have a 2002 1.8T Quattro.

It's had the normal coil pack issue (one failing at a time, one replaced at a time).

It's had a bad starter.

It's had a bad cam adjuster.

It's had a failed clutch plate.

It's had dead stereo system.

The windshield-spray pump has died twice.

It's had a stuck passenger seat (no adjustment possible).

It's had myriad other, niggling problems that have landed it in the shop over the last couple of years, which are too numerous for me to even remember specific instances. They're all a blur of "complimentary" loaner Dodge Neons, and Audi of America service questionnaires.

This summer, in the last 9 weeks alone, it's been in the shop for 20 days, on three or four separate issues. That's 33% of the time. Shop.

I want to trade it in and get an Accord, but dammit I LOVE my A4 and it's tearing me up inside.

I guess I don't really need advice. Just a place to rant.

Default Accord = boring.....

I had the same, maybe even more problems with my 01' A4, but still decided to go with an 04' and don't regret it one bit.

Default Wow - that's alot of shop time. I'd be ranting too.

Mine has had nowhere near that. Hopefully you've gotten rid of most of the gremlins now.

Default 4x same problem = lemon law replacement in most states

Anyway my family has owned a heck of a lot of Hondas and none of them has ever caused a problem. The Audi and the Porsche are the two most problematic. The 3-series just hums along.
